Community Involvement

We Care about Community

Providing assistance to Hunter-based charities, community groups and events has always been a focus for our team.

One of our core values is We Care. This value extends beyond caring for our clients and our team. We embrace this value by caring for our local community in the ways that we can.

We value acting on our compassion in the hopes that our vocal support, an ongoing sponsorship, a donation, an act of kindness or a genuine conversation can hopefully make a difference in the community.

Supporting Hunter-based charities and not-for-profits

Whether it’s sponsorship of events, hosting fundraisers or volunteering, our Beam Bookkeeping team thrives on supporting organisations that have strong ties to the Hunter region – just like us!

  • Sponsorship of the Annual PKF Breast Care Breakfast event, raising funds for the Hunter Nurse Education Group.
  • Sponsorship of the Merewether Greens Rugby Foundation to raise funds for the Greens Assistance Program which offers mental health and wellbeing support to all members of the club.
  • Grassroots sponsorship of the Merewether Carlton Ruby Club.
  • Organising goods donations and sponsoring International Women’s Day hosted by Carrie’s Place, who are addressing issues of domestic violence and homelessness in our community.

Recognising the rising needs in our community and listening to the passions our team and clients hold has seen us commit to:

  • Co-hosting the annual Melbourne Cup fundraiser Luncheon in support of local NDIS provider Mai Wel.
  • Enthusiastically participating in Steptember, a challenge to complete 10,000 steps per day during September to raise funds and awareness for Cerebral Palsy.
  • Supporting the Mark Hughes Foundation several times a year, by purchasing beanies for our team and sponsoring The Big Three Trek participants.
  • Sponsoring 2023 Stars of Newcastle Participant, Sarah Hovanyecz who raised money for the Cancer Council.

Providing support to local business groups

We encourage our team members to volunteer and support community groups close to their hearts as well.

Giving back to the community is about providing support to those who need it most, and organisations who are doing great things. It is important to us that we continue to interact with our community in a way that is authentic to our team; and are always on the lookout for these opportunities.

We encourage our team members to volunteer and support community groups close to their hearts as well

For us, giving back to the community is about providing support to those who need it most, and organisations who are doing great things in the community.
