Beam recognised as one of Australia’s Happiness Workplaces!
Beam Bookkeeping has been formally recognised as an Accredited Happy Workplace after completing a Workplace Happiness Diagnostic Programme facilitated by Newcastle based social enterprise, BU Happiness College.
During the report and accreditation process Beam Bookkeeping was assessed on each of the five contributing factors to workplace happiness:
- high staff wellbeing
- high staff engagement
- low burnout risk
- high leadership competency and
- positive overall workplace culture
To gain formal accreditation, Beam needed to display above average, and at times exceptional, scores in each of these five areas.
Announcing their accreditation, Declan Edwards, founder of BU Happiness College and creator of the Happy Workplace Accreditation, said:
“Beam Bookkeeping are raising the bar for workplaces. They are a fantastic example of an organisation that values its people and understands that their team and culture are their greatest asset. One thing is really clear to me; the world would be a much better place if more workplaces were like them, and more leaders were like Katie and Deb.”
Reacting to their accreditation, Beam Bookkeeping Directors, Katie and Deb said:
“We are humbled and proud to be recognised as an accredited Happy Workplace. We have always believed passionately that every business has the power to positively impact the lives of their team. We also stand by the belief that being a happy workplace is one of the greatest competitive advantages we can have as an organisation. We see it as our way of standing out from the crowd as an employer of choice. We are thrilled to see our commitment to these beliefs being recognised.”
