Minimum Wage Increase Effective 1 July 2025

The Fair Work Commission has announced a 3.5% increase to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award wages, effective 1 July 2025.

What’s Changing:

  • The National Minimum Wage will rise to $948 per week or $24.95 per hour.
  • The increase applies to employees not covered by an award or enterprise agreement.
  • New rates apply from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025.
    (e.g. If a pay week starts Wednesday, the new rate kicks in from Wednesday, 2 July 2025.)
